Point Cook Marine Park
Point Cook Marine Park
This is a little album with some images shot on December 16, 2004. The Park is about 30 km southwest of Melbourne, adjacent to expanding residential development. It is in proximity to the Point Cook Royal Australian Airforce base, which is an operational field. The Base is open to the public, and has interesting displays in a museum of many aircraft types and support equipment from World War 1.

For those people reading this who are members of the EDXP Radio Monitoring Association (or interested in radio monitoring!), this Park is one of the few places remaining in the Melbourne suburban area which is relatively free of electrical radio interference.

If you are in Melbourne, the Park is well worth a visit, but please drive carefully as there are many goannas which move slowly across the roads!
