AMATEUR RADIO INVOLVEMENT
In 1964, I completed a Training Course (Lecture Program) from the Wireless Instituter
of Australia, in Melbourne, to prepare me for the examination leading to the Amateur Operator's Limited Certificate of Proficiency.
I was successful, and the Certificate was issued on July 21, 1964.
I was then allotted the callsign VK3ZFU, which permitted me to operate in the VHF bands, above
50 MHz
.
I never perused amateur radio operating, due to the pressures of full-time work and other activities, and my license lapsed.
