Robinson's Mill No. 2 - Cement Creek - red triangle

Robinson’s Mill No 2 –1907 to 1921

Robinson’s milling area included a large tract of country in the headwaters of the Cement Creek, above the Mt Donna Buang Tourist Road. There were difficulties in accessing the higher reaches of his No. 1 milling area, marked by very steep slopes.

He therefore established his No. 2 Mill at the lower boundary of his logging area, about 1 km west of the Mt Donna Buang Tourist Road. He constructed a tramway to the Bump, around the sides of Mt Victoria, and from there the logs were lowered to the No. 1 mill site.

The No. 2 mill closed down in 1921 after having been destroyed by bushfires.
