This 32 min sound film (colour) was made by the Senior Scouts of 1st Rose Bay (Sydney) and tells the story of their time at the 7th Australian Jamboree held at Dandenong near Melbourne in 1964-5.

The Standard 8mm Kodachrome film stock cost about 33 pounds (a lot of money then!) which was raised by weekend car-washing.

Post production was in early 1965. The sound track was recorded semi-synchronously in one take on stroboscopically-striped open reel tape - with minor adjustments later.

The premiere was at a crowded Rose bay Scout Hall in about March 1965.

The fragile film (and tape) was re-constructed and restored in 2016. It now looks better, and is better synchronised, than at any original performance!
