BELAIR AVENUE
This roadway was built in 1964, and
named after the 1936/37 Jamboree held at Belair National Park, near Adelaide, SA.
It's 535 m, linking Greenbank Avenue with Baden Powell Drive, and HQ subcamp no.2 was located there.
The Creek (now dry) is alongside this roadway. A Chapel was nearby - this
was in the area bounded by Belair Avenue and Greystanes Crescent and was an open-air facility, with an elaborate carved
gateway - it is now known as the Kiuta Chapel, within the Yooronga Guide Scouts' fenced
area.
Se the Section elsewhere in this Website about
Jamboree Religious Observances for further info about the Kiuta Chapel.
