FRANKSTON DRIVE
This is a 600 m roadway, built in 1964, named after the Frankston
(Victoria) Jamboree of 1934/35, extending from Churchill Park Drive to a turning circle and was the
main access to the HQ administration centre, overlooking the Main Arena. The Jamboree Newspaper office was located here, as
well as the Reception Area, Senior Staff, Hospital, Guests' Camp, and Girl Guides' Office. The roadway was asphalt, some
of it intact.
A (dry) water channel runs next to the roadway, starting at Churchill Park Drive.
A fenced rectangular compound is located adjacent
to the northern side of the roadway, in the area originally used for Senior Jamboree Staff accommodation.
